Victoria to Tofino

(2 nights) Wednesday.  As you bid farewell to Victoria, follow the Malahat Highway north, making a stop in the picturesque town of CHEMAINUS.  Continue through Nanaimo and visit COOMBS OLD COUNTRY MARKET, the island landmark famous for the goats grazing on its roof.  Head west, stopping to stretch your legs at CATHEDRAL GROVE, home of 800-year-old Douglas-fir trees.  Arrive at the coastal community of Tofino for a two-night stay at the Best Western Plus Tin Wis Resort, where the oceanfront rooms and landscaped grounds lead to the sheltered sands of MacKenzie Beach.  Join the group for an included dinner.

Tofino

Thursday.  This morning, experience an unforgettable WHALE WATCHING TOUR (Limited Seating – if not available a refund will be given for the boat tour).  Tofino is a great place for whale watching! Gray whales are commonly seen in the spring as they migrate to feed in northern waters, along with orcas and humpback whales.  Back on land, find some lunch as you wander around Tofino. Return to your hotel for some free time to bury your toes in the sand or beachcomb along the shoreline.
