Calgary to Edmonton to Valemount

Saturday, December 21.  Your Christmas Celebration Tour begins as you are welcomed aboard your deluxe coach in Calgary.  Head north via Red Deer to Edmonton meeting additional travel companions enroute.  Journey west through JASPER NATIONAL PARK and pass majestic Mount Robson on your way to the village of Valemount, BC.  This evening features a GET ACQUAINTED WELCOME DINNER.  Overnight: Best Western Plus.

Valemount to New Westminster

Sunday, December 22.  Today you will travel through the North Thompson Valley area, then Blue River, Clearwater and Kamloops on the way to your unique New Westminster hotel, the Inn at the Quay.  Built on pillars elevated over the Fraser River and ideally located next to the Riverfront Boardwalk, it is within walking distance of the Skytrain Station to downtown Vancouver.  Watch changing river views from the balcony of your over-the-water room or go out and explore the area.  Overnight:  Inn at the Quay.

New Westminster to Victoria

(4 nights) Monday, December 23.  Board a BC FERRY at Tsawwassen for a scenic sailing to Vancouver Island.  Continue to Victoria for a four-night stay at the welcoming Huntingdon Manor.  This quaint hotel offers modest rooms and includes daily breakfast.  Within walking distance, you will find a selection of restaurants, shops, and attractions in the picturesque Inner Harbour and downtown.

Tuesday, December 24.  Feel the Christmas spirit as you depart for a GUIDED TOUR to see the city dressed in its holiday finery.  The rest of your afternoon is free to take in the cheerful ambiance of this beautiful harbour city.  Perhaps you might like to take a carriage ride or a water taxi tour of the harbour, discover Chinatown, wander by the water, admire the glowing decorations at the historic Empress Hotel or spend time with friends in the area.  You’ll be humming a Christmas carol on your return to the hotel for a delicious CHRISTMAS EVE DINNER prepared just for you!

Victoria

Wednesday, December 25.  Wake up to the magic of Christmas with a special CHRISTMAS BRUNCH.  Then join us in our hospitality room to mingle with your companions while enjoying Christmas festivities, complete with a VISIT FROM SANTA.  The afternoon is free to explore more of the old-world charm of this former British settlement.  Return to the Huntingdon Manor, your home-away-from-home, for a traditional CHRISTMAS DINNER.

Thursday, December 26.  Your wonderful afternoon begins with a visit to the fascinating BUTTERFLY GARDENS followed by The Magic of Christmas, a remarkable display of twinkling lights and festive decorations at THE BUTCHART GARDENS.  Indulge in a seasonal AFTERNOON HIGH TEA, then listen to the sounds of carollers and a brass band playing traditional holiday music. As you stroll along the pathways lined with wreaths, holly and winterberries, search for the clever displays depicting the Twelve Days of Christmas, seek out the delightful carousel, or warm yourself with a cup of hot chocolate!  Return to your hotel.

Victoria to Kamloops

Friday, December 27.  The Christmas spirit lingers as you begin your journey home.  Bid farewell to Victoria from the ferry, sailing across the Strait of Georgia from Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen.  Travel to Kamloops, located in the heart of BC’s interior at the junction of five major highways.  Wrap up the day with your new-found friends at a casual included PIZZA PARTY at the hotel.  Overnight:  Best Western Plus.

Kamloops to Hinton

Saturday, December 28.  Continue to Hinton to spend your last evening in the company of your fellow travellers at a HOSTED FAREWELL DINNER.  Overnight:  Best Western Plus.

Hinton to Edmonton to Calgary

Sunday, December 29.  Return home from a most memorable Christmas holiday.  Make a stop in Edmonton before the tour concludes in Calgary.
