Vancouver Island Victoria and Pacific Rim-May 3, 2019

As I was boarding the bus, at my usual pick up spot
How many times have I done this was my thought
Tour guide had told passengers it was my 50th tour with Nagel
I was dubbed “Queen of Travel”, called Queen Vickie – quite a label

Countless times spent waiting arrival of the tour bus
Rotating seats, wearing seat belts without fuss
Stopping at well acquainted lunch and coffee stops along the way
Overnight stops in places I had overnighted before at end of day

Travelled along well known highways, mountain scenery was serene
Majestic peaks, Three Sisters, Mt. Rundle, once again were seen
Mt. Victoria, backdrop of Lake Louise, reportedly has many glaciers
Glaciers look like ice, are always moving, changing their gears

Travelled through the pass, remembering avalanche guns and snow mass
Nestled in the Monashee Mtns. western entrance to Rogers Pass, lies Revelstoke
Crossed Columbia River, from its wintery ice mass, it had just awoke

Passed Enchanted Forest, 3 Valley Chateau, followed Shuswap Lake into Sicamous
Arrived at Prestige Harbourfront, in Salmon Arm, for overnight, tour guide set us loose
