Edmonton to Calgary to Three Valley Gap

Your British Columbia Circle adventure begins as you are welcomed aboard your deluxe coach in Edmonton. Head south via Red Deer to Calgary, meeting additional travel companions enroute.  Cross the border into British Columbia, wind your way over majestic ROGERS PASS and onward to Three Valley Gap for overnight at Three Valley Lake Chateau.  Tour the GHOST TOWN before joining your fellow travellers for a GET ACQUAINTED WELCOME DINNER.

Three Valley Gap to Vancouver Area

Sit back and watch the mountainous terrain flatten out to farmland, following the Trans Canada Highway to your unique New Westminster hotel. The Inn at the Quay is built on pillars, elevated over the Fraser River, and ideally located next to the riverfront boardwalk.  Watch boats sail by from your waterfront room or go out and explore the area.

Vancouver Area to Port Hardy

Board a BC FERRY and sail across the Strait of Georgia to the vibrant port city of Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. Your route leads north to Campbell River, known as the Salmon Capital of the World.  Continue to Port Hardy for overnight at the Kwa’lilas Hotel.

Port Hardy/Inside Passage to Prince Rupert

 (2 nights) The MV NORTHERN EXPEDITION departs Port Hardy this morning for a 15‑hour scenic voyage through the INSIDE PASSAGE. Watch for bald eagles, porpoises, and killer whales as your ship navigates the 300 miles of magnificent coastline dotted with hundreds of islands and waterfalls.  A RESERVED RECLINING SEAT in the Aurora Lounge is included.  If you wish additional privacy, you can purchase an outside or inside cabin.  Luggage and other belongings will be stored on the motorcoach, which travels on the same ferry with us.  Arrive Prince Rupert for two nights at the Inn on the Harbour.

Prince Rupert

After breakfast, discover the acclaimed MUSEUM OF NORTHERN BRITISH COLUMBIA, which showcases the rich cultural heritage and natural history of the area. This afternoon, drive to Port Edward, located on the Skeena River. Visit the NORTH PACIFIC CANNERY NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE, the oldest surviving salmon cannery village along British Columbia’s coast. Most of the buildings are connected by a wooden boardwalk.

Prince Rupert to Prince George

Journey alongside the broad Skeena and rushing Bulkley Rivers and through the vast forests of the Coast Mountains on your way to Prince George for overnight at the downtown Hyatt Place.

Prince George to Hinton

Impressive MOUNT ROBSON, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, greets you this morning as you travel east through JASPER NATIONAL PARK. Tonight, share favourite tour highlights with your companions at a HOSTED FAREWELL DINNER.  Spend the night at the Best Western Plus Hinton Inn.

MV NORTHERN EXPEDITION:

Specially designed for the Inside Passage, MV Northern Expedition sailed on her first voyage.   Travelling at a maximum speed of 20.5 knots (23.6 mph), she can carry 115 cars and 638 passengers and crew. With three passenger decks and an outdoor sun deck, her onboard facilities include the Canoe Cafe, Vista Restaurant, gift shop, Raven’s Lounge and Aurora Lounge.  Reserved Aurora Lounge seating is included in your fare.  The 300‑mile journey from Port Hardy to Prince Rupert takes 15 hours.  

OPTION – FERRY CABIN:

Available for the whole day for $160.00 per outside cabin (not per person) or $135.00 per inside cabin.  Cabins have 2 single beds side by side with a separate shower/toilet/basin, TV, and desk.  Please request at time of booking – limited number of cabins available.  Price is subject to change.
